Sea monster invades the house ! - 22 October 2013

Well just as things started to slow down, team PD jumped to attention and we had some new additions and finishes arriving for some big items.

The evaporative cooling system was installed and looked more like a sea monster than a cooling system. Heating was put in at the same time with the zoned system and wiring for thermostats installed.

Some temporary doors arrived to begin closing the house up and the shower bases were getting installed too.

Kitchen air vent

Mouth of the beast - Big isn't it !

Study air vent

Master bedroom air

Near the void heating and cooling vent ...

Now we understand why they leave some space in the roof... No chance of using it for anything else...

The body of the monster.... the main unit...

Ducting splits into two....

Now a chance to get up close and personal with the new roof. Only 14 coarses of bricks to go. Looking forward to the finish of bricking.

An artistic shot... I love the look of these tiles. Now I sound like one of those tile commercials but you just can't help admiring your selection choice... now can you....!

The backyard from above..... Hmmmmmm... A bit of work ahead..... But should look nice; one day !

The internals from the bedroom window .... a birds view, outside looking in ... won't get to do this again anytime soon.

Finally the roof starts to get closed up with the installation of the gas boosted hot water systems and the installation of seals around the venting. We selected the contour version of the Brivis range. Great colour match...

Venting sealed. No more water penetration .... Fantastic !!

We have solar !

Nice and neat..... Always a worry when cutting into tiles but this looks good.
